Welcome to The Ballet Box!
At The Ballet Box, we specialize in the artistic development of children from pre-school through 8th grade. We offer classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Adult swing and Ballroom.

Miss Kelly
Owner - Instructor
Miss Kelly slid her feet into her first pair of ballet shoes and began lessons when she was 8 years old. In no time at all, she was dreaming of the day she would own her own dancing school.
She has studied under many renowned dance masters such as Julie Cartier, The Lake Forest Dance Academy, Lou Conte and Joel Hall. She directed the Dance/Drill team for the Kane County Eagles. She has been teaching in the Fox Valley area for over 17 years. A life-long resident of Lake in the Hills; her roots grow deep within the community and feels it an honor to inspire her students. But the true excitement is to be able to watch her students "Grow"! Her extraordinary talent, warmth and enthusiasm contribute to her wonderful ability to share her joy and love of dance.

Traci Garcia
Hip Hop Instructor
Traci Garcia was born in Chicago, IL and has been dancing for over 25 years. She attended The Chicago Academy of Performing Arts and has trained at the dance studios of Gus Giordano and Lou Conte. Traci's dance background includes Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, Modern and Pom Pons as well as an extensive theater background.
She performed with a competition dance troupe in St. Louis where she was a member of the St. Louis Storm Twisters and a Cheerleader/Dancer for the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals.
As a former World Champion Chicago Bulls Cheerleader 1993 to 1995, she performed for various Continental Basketball Association games in England and Holland. Traci also performed in the 1995 Opening Ceremony for the World Cup in Chicago. Traci is a certified AFAA Group Exercise instructor as well as Kickboxing and Pilates certified and has been teaching since 1990. She has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and is a licensed Commercial Pilot. Traci is married and has three spirited sons, Brandt, Chase and Trent.
Traci enjoys working at the Ballet Box teaching Hip Hop and loves working with kids and wishes to pass on her dancing and music theatre talents.
